However, after several minutes of basking, I was forced to barricade myself indoors, unsuccessfully trying to scratch the back of my throat with my tongue, after being attacked by pollen. Damn you hay fever!
After a few moments of staring out the window and sulking, I decided if I can’t enjoy the garden outside, I’ll create my own pollen-free garden indoors.
I’ve never had much luck with nurturing living things. I was bitten by a kitten as a child and my goldfish lived for less than two weeks. The only living thing I have managed to maintain is my cactus, which is miraculously still alive despite 6 years of woeful neglect.
Fortunately, the garden I am creating doesn’t need sunlight, water or oxygen and you don’t have to worry about it dying.
For all those who love flowers, but dare not wear one in their hair because of their allergies to pollen and phobias for aphids and other mini-beasties…
Behold the first addition to the YouLike IMake garden!
